    Default Conveyed Motion

My first trip to Bosque del Apache was rewarding in numerous ways. Some I probably haven't even seen yet. I was in the process of deleting the bad images when I came across this one. I almost hit the delete key but decided to take a look at it in ACR. There was something about the sense of motion that I liked.

On the last morning there we decided to start with Sandhill Cranes and then try to find the elusive Coyote's that we knew were there later in the morning. Initially I was disappointed that the cranes were leaving before good light. I was shooting an EOS 1DsMKIII and it's noise characteristics above ISO 640ish leave a lot to be desired. But, rather than be a spectator, I decided to try panning. Admittedly I had more duds than keepers but I think it was worth the effort to try. I like the sense of motion that this image conveys so I kept it.

cool patterns made by the cranes. I wish it was a little more blurred.

I like it as presented. It's got an abstract feel but you have that sense that you totally know what it is and what's happening. Glad you decided to keep it!
