    Finaly I got the opportunity tot photograph this bird in a setting I wished fore.

    Olympus E3, Zuiko ED300 f2.8, Zuiko 2.0 converter at 600mm focuslength, 1/320sec, F6.3, ISO400, -0.3 stop.

    Lovely pose, perch and BG, Alexander. Head turn and eye detail lovely. A little more DOF would have been nice but you were already a bit down in the shutter speed. Maybe a little NR on the BG and reduce the halo above the beak but all in all a great photo.

    When the eye and face are in perfect focus and sharp a shallowish DOF does not bother me one bit. Our attention is kept where it should be. Excellent photograph, one that I agree some noise reduction on the BG would push it one step higher :-) What a beautiful species of bird this is!!

    Excellent. Composition is as good as it can get. Do agree about noise reduction and the post processing artifacts around the beak.

    Really lovely image. Depth of field fine for me as well. A really good image.
