    Love the image for the pose and mostly becasue of the BKGR. I was going that day for such a shot with fill flash in contra light and managed to take one :)

    Here are the details:
    1D Mark III, 400mm f/5.6L, 580EX II (set at -2/3) + Better Beamer.
    Manual mode: f5.6 @ 1/400 sec, ISO 1000.

    I like the exposure control and pose but wish the bird would have looked toward you and the BG is a bit distracting.

    I'd probably selectively blur the two vertical leaves(?) coming down from the top-center, and the funky lighter spot just in front of the bird. I like the cute pose and overall feel of the shot other than that though.

    Good try but... The bird is looking away and is soft. I love the flower near the trunk but the flower in the middle is by comparison disracting.
