This image was taken as the cattle egrets were returning to the rookery for the evening. The are such wonderful birds to watch as they almost perform a sky ballet before finally resting on the island

Lovely light, Judy. I really like that there is detail in the sky and cloud - it makes a lovely BG. Sharp eye and beak detail make a good focal point and the feathers are lovely. They really do fly beautifully - the flocks often do look choreographed!

Great light, pose and BG. I might sharpen the bird a bit more.

Repost has brought out a bit more in the head and eye but unfortunately brought out noise in the shadow areas - would probably be worth just masking the sharpening to the bright areas. Juggling with a double-edged sword:D
