    D300 / 200 - 400 VR
    1/1000s f/4.0 at 400.0mm iso250
    hand held, natural light, 60% of ff

    Taken this afternoon with the light behind me and the dark clouds in front of me...
    basic PS., sure was fun!

    Stunning light and BG. I would bump the ISO to 400-800 to gain some shutter speed. Image looks soft. Really love those colours and feather patterns.

    Great light and eye contact. I agree with Tony on a higher ISO setting since there is some motion blur.

    Stunning light and bg !!! One sweet image !!! Could only wish for those wings to be fully up !!! Big Time Congrats .............. btw another vote on raising the ISO The D300 is a fine performer.

    Hey Ray you have a very nice image here. The sunny light on the bird and the dark BG produced a very dramatic and nice light that I like a lot. In fact, this kind of lighting is my favourite ;-)
    I agree about the need for a higher speed but love the eye contact, the hanging feet and the raised wing. Well done my friend!
