    Motif: Water - "Croton Steam"

Note: This image was painted on my last trip to The Big Apple. This is The Devils Pass; located in one of the finger streams of the Croton River in the sleepy little Village of Croton on The Hudson. The water is crystal clear and ice cold, even in the 90 plus degree of summer weather.

    Image Solution:

    Light Box: Nikon D200
    Glass: Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S DX
    Focal length: 17mm
    Exposure mode: aperture priority
    Exposure time: 1/20sec.
    Aperture size: f/16
    Metering mode: matrix
    ISO factor: 200
    White balance: auto
    AF – mode: AF- single
    Exposure comp: -0.7EV
    Tone comp: +2 degree
    Hue adjustment: +3 degrees
    Saturation factor: +3 degrees
    Color space: sRGB
Lighting solution: no speedlight – ambient light
Support platform: no tripod – hand held, sitting on a rock, bracing camera on my knees.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

    Hi Gus,

Good exposure to get the motion to the water, and rest sharp from slow speed ss.

    I like it.

Classic, Gus! My eye keeps following the water through this beautiful image and then back. I like it very much.
