From Fort Desoto had good chances at willets flying, lots of wind and right direction.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Al I really like it! Very sharp and the BG compliments the bird. I have to get to Ft Desoto soon.

Great color and light...looks super sharp especially for 600 & TC1.7...i love the BG and crop...beautiful.

By the way...how do you like the 600 VR...did you upgrade? If so, did you notice much of a difference? Thanks...Nate

Great job Al. Like the way the slope of the BG mimics the presumed path of the bird. Great work with framing at 1530mm focal length equivalent.

Lovely capture Al. I like the downstroke wings and the eye contact with this bird.

Hi Nathan I came from Canon (just over a year ago) to Nikon, this is my first 600 from Nikon. Love the lens and very usable with converters. btw the 2.0X is sharp but painfully slow.

Pretty darn cool Al. Perfect view of the wing patterns, and quite sharp. Did you gaussian blur the BG?...there is small bit of noise around the wings before becoming smooth.
