    Today. Light wrong but these guys leave in a hurry, Out the car window. Looks a litle soft and noisy now.
    Canon 40D, 100-400 @400mm
    1/2500, f/5.6, ISO 400, Pretty large crop.
    CS4 adj and sharpened, etc.
    The viewfinder is my guidance.

    I agree with your own nit about being soft. Pity Bill, as its a lovely looking speciman.

    Repost is better, Bill. You could select just the sjy and run some noise reduction on it. Keep them coming!

    Second post is better but the head still looks soft. Looks like your focusing point was the body and not the head!

    I would try what Fab said!

    Repost is definitely better. I agree with Maxis that the head looks soft. Fabs suggestion is a good one. Interesting pose on the perch - looks as though it is just growing out of the perch - like a wood carving almost.
