    hi denise. beautiful light on this one! love the faraway stare from your gull. i would add some canvas to the right and crop some from the top. that would give it some space to look into to accentuate the stare!

    Hi Denise, I like what you are trying to do here. With a fairly narrow palette of colours between bird and BG it looks soft and painterly to me. As was pointed out to me when your images are soft there needs to be something sharp in it to get your attention, maybe sharpening of the eye might do it? My .02:) Otherwise lovely.

    Lady Denise, I like the composition, image and the capture. The far away look does it for me. It kind of makes you think; what is the gull looking at? :D It sets the mood. My suggestion would be to crop 1/4 from the top, and crop from the bottom just enought to cut out the seaweed on the lower left side of your frame. finally, selective sharpen the eye...and you have a big "10"...:) good show...:cool:
