    American White Pelican

The conditions this morning for great light quality was sporadic do to all the smoke from the wildfires in Southern,California its a real shame.
I basically took advantage of the Pelicans feeding off the foot bridge .

Beautiful, Jim. Great detail in the whites and a typical pelican pose. Soft blues work well with the yellows.

I like this a lot James, the soft BG and the nice light on the bird are really sweet. Terrific amount of details on the whites and great eye contact. I think that this image would also work as a vertical composition in the case that you have another one with th ecomplete, cristal clear, reflection.

Take advantage indeed!! This is gorgeous...the lighting is just wonderful. The detail in the plumage couldn't be better, and the little half head-turn makes for a wonderful pose. Really nice!!

Great light, details, exposure control and colors. Does it need a tad CW rotation?

Lovely comp, and so well exposed. I love the droplets visible on the neck, and this is pin sharp. Well captured James.

Hey Jim! Did you get tired of doing all that excellent flight work? I like this pelican a lot. Great sharpness, nice light, and good eye contact. I might consider going vertical on this one too.
