    Churchill '08

    Greetings from Winnipeg, on my way home from Churchill. We had plenty of snow and bears.

    IDs Mark III, 300 f/2.8IS
    Manual, manual, spot (plus 2 1/3 EV off snow), 1/320 @ f/4, ISO 800
    Post-production-ARC 5.0, CS4, 12 in laptop difficult to judge output sharpness
    (contact us for '09 dates, they go quickly)

    I like the composition. Placing both the bears in the RoT position and in a diagonal composition is nice. Thanks for sharing.

    Great composition, details, colors and exposure control. You don't mention flash but I assume you did use fill flash?

    Love the comp and the fact you got both bears in the image. Great details in the whgites as well.

    Axel,

    No flash used! I almost never use flash with mammals in the field during daylight hours. 1/320 @ f/4, ISO 800 indicates some pretty flat light, hence the lack of shadow and low contrast. The white in the eye you see is au natural.
