I had the wonderful fortune to spend many hours with this leopard over 3 days. She was hidden in tall grass when we found her with her kill but when she emerged and sat on the termite mound it was magic.
    Hope you enjoy.

ps I added a number of additional images to the Leopard Leap thread for those interested.

    Eric,
Would you mind sharing the settings? Is it a full frame or crop?
This is a neat composition. The termite mound frames the leopard nicely. The small plants from the right of the frame leads the eye into the frame towards the leopard. The background is well diffused and nice. I would have been better if there would have been a slight head turn towards you and an alert gaze. That would have further improved the image. No harm in dreaming. So I would have wished to shoot such a scene in golden light. :-)
I like the image. Well done.
    Cheers,

Thanks for the comments. This was shot with a Canon 1D3, 300mm 2.8is, full frame, 1/3200 f5.6. Dreaming is what it's all about so I will include another (have about 75-100 in this setting but she looks a bit sleepy I think. What's your take on this one? I have others with her head slightly tilted and eyes with pupils better seen and will post those as well but I am not sure the rest of the composition is quite as good.
    Regards,
    Eric

Hi Eric You did come up with an unique experience !!!!

Agree with suggestions and have one more. Would use selective color and increase the black and neutral just a bit, gives a little punch but still natural !!! All are very nice but the first is my favorite !!! Big Congrats !!!

    Eric,
I like the first, followed by the third image. In the second image, I am not too happy with the eye contact.
    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
