    I love the flower, Stuart - good color and nice details. The BG leaves me wishing for either all green or all black or more detail in the black. Personally, I'd go all black. I think the colors in the image can carry that off.

    Thank you for your feedback Julie. I was in two minds to darken the BG, but after reading your comment, here is what I should have done.

    You must have a lovely garden! Beautiful colors and detail. The all black BG is nice, but it does remove it from a natural setting.

    Stuart, while the all black BG does remove it from a natural setting, I think it's the best case scenario in this instance. The small amount of BG that you did get just isn't enough to carry this image IMO, but this saves the image from the trashcan - and it should be saved. It's a beautiful daylily and you did it justice. Nice work!

    Stuart, the original image was good but I think the re-post with the solid black background is a knock-out. Beautiful job and the drops are an excellent touch. Very well done!
