The image was taken at Marievalle. Out here in South Africa, we mostly tend to photograph out of bird hides and therefor will most of our images be a tad top-down.

You must be very pleased with your effort here Geurt. Great action caught just at the right time and yellow/browns of the bird complement nicely with the blue water. I like it. If I was to nit-pick I would just suggest a tiny bit of extra canvas at top.

Very nice pose and light. The only thing would be more roon on top, bu that would be it for me!

Beautifully captured pose, perfect head angle, and sharp as a tack. As mentioned, a bit more room on top would have been nice, but this is a lovely image.

I'll go with the others about the top room but the image is a superb example otherwise. I love the water droplets and the detail is outstanding!

Yup more room on top and less at the bottom would be my wish as well. Otherwise great job!

Such a nice pose captured here. I would re-crop taking some off the left and bottom and adding to the top.

Thanks a lot and will add some "canvas" to top next time.
