    Hi

This is a duck that we don't see often in the the north of the UK but there are reasonable numbers down south. When I take a trip down I always try and find some to photograph as they are a beautiful bird, especially when caught on the reflection of some autumn bankside foilage in some late afternoon sun.

Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens at ISO320 F5.6 -0.33EV at 1/640s with evaluative metering.

    Cheers

Beautiful, Rich. The colours and light are lovely. I like the blue on the ripples contrasting with the warm tones. I might crop a little from the bottom and add to the top to lower the bird a little in the frame.

Wonderful light Rich, a nice clean shot. I agree with Tony's crop suggestion.

Great light, details and mood. I would also crop a bit off the bottom.

Thanks for the replies and comments. A bit off the bottom would probably would aid the composition, many thanks for the suggestion.

Ditto Tony on the comp, but what stunning light, and nice and sharp. Well captured Rich.

Good shot and the color in the water contributes a lot in this image.
