    It has been a little slow in the Wetlands but was lucky with this guy I think. Taken with a Canon 50-D
    ISO=320 f/6.3 1/1000 of a sec. 500-MM and 1.4 extender equaling 700-MM.

    Hi Bill, lovely subject and nice BG colours...but there are some obvious clone marks here and there. I also wish the perch's ending was less abrupt. Good head-turn, and I like the wide stance :-)

    I like the pose and head turn. I agree with Daniel on the end of the perch and clone marks.

    Sorry everyone but there was nothing done to the perch that's just the way it is, as a matter of fact was back there today and that is it, some clone marks yes but overall what is the verdict, thank you all.

    I think it's one of your best Bill. Great composition and nice pose. Good job with the whites against a dark BG. A shame about the perch, but I still like it!

    Lovely contrast against the dark BG Bill. Great capture.

    Bill I think this is a very elegant composition. Striking egret against the dark BG and the moss to the right all make for a very lovely and interesting image. I like it a lot !!!! Your exposure is spot on and the head turn is beautiful with great eye contact. Well done !!! Thanks for sharing Bill.

    A beautiful image, I think the composition and lighting are excellent. The image seems slightly soft, how did you achieve this effect?
    (Regards the cloning marks I too can see them now - I am guilty of these myself and once made can easily be removed by using the patch tool.)
