I was out for some night photography with Fabs and Al Forns and photographed this image with my Canon 40D. This is two images, one exposed for the moon and one for the fast moving clouds and merged in PS. Main photo was ISO 200, f/8.0, 1 sec, Pattern Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, EF70-200mm f/2.8L, 115mm. Full moon was photographed at f/22.0, 1/15 sec, spot metering.

Hi Richard your mind must have been in high gear to come up with this one !!! Might want to crop tighter if possible to make the moon larger in frame Do like how you included the palm tree branch !!! Neat !!!

    Well done Richard,
I like the framing of the moon, the colors are nice and soft, creating a romantic tropical mood...congrats...

    Richard,
Beautiful image. framing, and soft colours. I might just lighten the black around the moon in keeping with the other colours in the pic which are quite soft, and pastel.

I was not happy with the dark ring around the moon. I reworked the image. Let me know what you think.

My vote for the repost uncropped because to my eye the moon and the blue kind of go together which makes it large enough for me! Those fronds and colours around the edge really add to the photo for me.
Hope you'll check out those restaurants I recommended. So far the weather up here has been mild Richard, no snow yet:}, but that can change in a heartbeat. I'll keep you posted!
