    Still going through some files from the summer. I photographed this oystercatcher on Long Island in evening light. I had to remove the TC and it is just cropped a little for composition.

    Great exposure, nice low angle and good eye contact Axel. The back of the bird's neck looks as if it's been hen-pecked. ;- )

    Nicely done and sharp. Wish that the head had made it all the way back to parallel to the body. Love those juvie feathers with the buff fringes.

    What a cutie! Love the plumage detail and the cute preening pose...hopefully he will get those neck feathers rearranged! Well done.
