I liked the fact that i caught him with his beak in the upright position while preening .
A pity he did not have his eye open though ....

Cool posture and sharpness. I would consider saturating the background a bit more and a bit of selective shadow lightening where the wing and head meet.

Great shot...cool pose...i agree with the other remarks about bringing a little "pop" to it...it looks like there is some nice color in the water that you could take better advantage of....I might give it a little more room on the left and top if you have it....that is just me though :) alll the best...nate
