    Thrashers will give you some neat poses every now and then. The BG is distracting, but I still like this image.

    Taken from a blind.

    I like the crop idea and pose. I wish the head were turned a bit more toward you and would sharpen the bird more.

    Great shot, I listened to you both and sharpened, cleaned the background and bumped the contrast etc.

    Nice close-up Aidan. I like the curves. Phil has done a good job on the re post - I would only clean up the dark sharpening halo along the top of the bird.

    Nice bird! Agree with Axel's comments. Other than the fact that the repost looks oversharpened, I find it a big improvement on the original.

    The repost looks better, but is oversharpened . The head turned slightly away is the biggest drawback to this closeup portrait.
