Yeah well, it has been a while I posted over here, but I will give it some new try with this experimental mallard. I´ve had such a photo in mind for some while, but itś pretty hard I´ve noticed to create the right effect you have in mind. This was the best result so far. I am not satisfied with the composition yet, but hey I will give it some other tries if the weather conditions are good for these kind of shots, not too bright and not too dark weather as the mallards are willing to fly also

I like the idea, light and BG and would give it more room. I think I would like it even better if the head were in focus. Keep them coming!

Quite loverly but it needs more room above the bird. Colors and blur are very nice.

    Andrew,
It is not easy getting these blurs right. The wing movements make it a nice spiral blur. Some more room at the top and at the back would have been nice. All the best for your future experiments. Look forward to more.

I too would like to see more of a panning blur with the head sharp and the wings blurred. I agree with your observation about composition. Good luck in getting the shot you envision!

Great idea. Wings and body fine, just more sharpness on the head and space as commented already. Hit rate is low with these so just keep at it - it will all come together eventually.

Very nice result Andrew, it works for me! I only wish for a litle more room at the top of the frame. Very well done!
