I saw him from the road on the Icefield Parkway. It was early nobody else was around. My friend and I stayed our distance-and he started to walk over toward us .I took a few shots before leaving.

    Hi Denise,
Like the pic, found the rocks a little distracting. Just an idea for you here.

Nice catch... and awfully close. Removing the rocks is a step in the right direction.

    Hi Denise:

Living dangerously, though, how could that cute bear with the soft tender look harm even a fly

OK, I haven't been smoking anthing, just love to look at bears in the woods from afar . . .

Had an experience once when I was a strapping 15 year old working in the logging camps. Quit one day because the sun wasn't shining from the right direction??:eek:

Anyway, on my walk back to camp to find a shoulder to moan on, I saw a steamy pile of bear scat, seconds later I turned the bend face to face with a black bear (Had passed a box car about 50 yards back, thought I could climb the iron ladder to the top, stand there and stomp on the bears paws with my calk boots),with fear induced lightening feet I scampered back, raced up the ladder, looked back and saw Mr. Bear didn't want to join the party. He was heading out in the opposite direction lickity split. :D:D:D

Loved your bear photo, good thing you were on the stick, and quick enough to take the photo.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Uncle Gus aka "Windy" :D:D:D
