    There was a request for a picture of an adult Iceland Gull. This was taken at the famous (at least with gull aficionados) Quidi Vidi Lake in St. John's, Newfoundland -15/01/2007. dave is absolutely right this is an amazing spot to photographs gulls and waterfowl

    A few months ago now I posted a Iceland-Kumlien's Gull to the Avian Wild and Free forum. Here is the image, made on Hall's Creek, near the Petticodiac River in Moncton, New Brunswick. They are quite common there through the winter and relatively easy to photograph. Winter gulls in this area wait for the rising Bay of Fundy tide which brings fish up-river twice per 24 hour period.
