Great flash work and one of the few instances where the busy BG actually adds to the image. Great pose and details, too.

Fun colors. Composition works well with the BG. A bit off the top might focus more attention on the subject?

Only you Fabs can get a BG as bussy as this one to be so nice and to compliment the bird so well, one wouldn't expect any less from you but this.. PURE ART! Congratulations my friend!!

Amazing light Fabs and great composition work. I like your idea a lot but I would go for just a little bit of desaturation ;)

    Fabs,
Would you tell us what magic you did to the BG? I find that you have used flash. I like this one.
    Cheers,

Artsy image. Has what looks like a "vinetting" effect. Love the colour and composition.

I use a slight vignetting effect often to keep the eyes inside the image.

    Thank you all!!

What can I say? I've never seen such a busy image that still works so well. Very artful, original. I'm finding the heron a little more on the pink side of things compared to what I'm used to...not a negative thing, just an observation :-)
