On the beach...a bit breezy and a few moments of light poking through the clouds yesterday morning at dawn.

I liked the previous one a lot but this is much better. Great light, angle, pose and the setting adds to it.

Grerat to catch them on the beach like that.
It seams they have moved to Stage Island Poll for the timebeing.

I do notice someting weird n the brush in front of the Owl kinda of a glow to the bush around the limbs

Maybe a mask that needs to be cleaned up around the edge

Nice light, and I love the beach setting! I wish the one branch wasn't touching the owl's neck, but a great image of this species :-)

It's a beautiful image. There are some odd artifacts in the brush; a soft brown haze; also along the edges of the sand. Possibly from post processing?

Aside from the strange artifacts, this could be the best Snowy Owl shot that I've ever seen! Fantastic light!! Great job Jim!! :D:D. Could the artifacts be from the wind blowing the sand?

Jim this one is fantastic and I like it more than the previous one. The warm light on the bird and sand complements very well with the bluish and dark BG. The eyes are fantastic and the pose is very nice. I agree with Mark and John about the artifact around the plant stuff. When I began to se CS4 I found that kind of marks/halos when running noise reduction to a selected area. I had never had that issue with CS2 and it was dissapointing. Fortunately I realized that the effect was due to the default configuration/set-up of the masking in CS2. Hope this helps

Love this picture, awesome lighting. The different setting from the usual snow put this one over the top.
