This is my first post on BPN. Here is a photograph of a Black Skimmer from Long Island taken last summer (2007). I used a slow shutter speed to get some artsy blurs and this is the result. This is purely in camera, with just adjustments to curves, saturation, etc post processing. This is one of my favorite shots so I hope you like it!
Hey Kari, big welcome, you know I'm a fan of your inquisitive creativity :)
I love this one, subtle pastel hues and the could movement is superb, the slight ghosting pf the Skimmer, with the up stroke firmly capture, make for an exquisite blur.
Keep them coming!
Welcome Kari! We're so excited you chose OOTB for your first post. Fabs is right...this is a beautiful blur. You have enough definition to allow a viewer to "see" your vision and the updraft of the blur is great.
Feel free to look around at the older posts - there are some truly awesome posts in here to help fuel your creativity!
Big Warm Welcome Kari !!! What a treat have been missing your creations !!!
Feel is the most important aspect of these type images and this has it over the top. Love those pastels and that bird is just perfect !!! Big Congrats !!!
Loved this image Kari. Very very artistic. Loved the subtle colours & the "semi form" of the skimmer in flight. Also liked the soft lines (resilting from panning blur) across the image which look like brush strokes of a painting - beautiful !
