Nice sharp image and colors. Could use just a little more space in front of the coyote.

Just the space to the right but one fine image. Love the sharpness, bg and most of all feel !! Big Congrats !!!

btw with the fantastic performance of the D3 would suggest upping the ISO for more shutter speed, just safety !!!

A little tight for my tastes but excellent details and very nice color. Looks like you're having/had a productive trip.

    John,
I like this image. If I had a chance, then I would have gone closer. Probably, a 1.4x. I would have loved some more space in the front. It becomes tight near the nose. I like the details in the image. I am wondering how it would be shooting this one with a 70-200.

Looks like your trip is rocking. Keep sharing.
    Cheers,

Beautiful tones and detail throughout the animal. I see what the others are saying about needing room up front but I really like this despite that cramped feel. Excellent exposure - most people would have blown out at least some of the white on his fur and yours looks clean as a whistle!

Beautiful detail and color. I like the lively natural look of the coyote in this photo. Nice work!

The vertical crop works well here as the does the clear in focus eye, up close and personal. I bit tight but OK.

Great details here John. As has already been mentioned a touch more space on the right would have been a bonus.
