    Default Leaf

Made this image while walking in the nearby woods. The leaf was not originally present - I placed it. Though I searched a lot in the vicinity, to my hard luck I cud not find a better leaf.

    Techs:
    Nikon D300 + Nikkor 105mm VR micro + tripod
    f/6.3, 1/200, ISO200

    Critiques and thoughts welcome...

Another winner, Kaushik! May I ask if the blue BG is the original image or if you "transplanted" a different one? Either way, it really sets off the wood and the green leaf.

I love the curve of the wood with the straight edge of the leaf. It all works for me.

Hey Kaushik, I like it, simple elements, good line on the wood, and good contrast with the leaf. Nice rich color in the BG. Like the balance of the BG and the subject.

The beauty of this picture lies in its simplicity

Julie, u r most welcome to seek clarification on any matter. In fact, I'm glad that you asked instead of having doubts in mind :)
The blue-ish BG is present in the original image itself. And I have not 'transplanted' it.
Here's a screenshot of the image from the library in lightroom in .NEF format - the unprocessed image.
