    From a quick trip yesterday to one of Long Island's outer beaches. I like these sturdy little birds alot, and the starkness of this image held some appeal to me as that's how the beaches feel in the cold months.

    Like the pose and sharpness, but the bird looks too contrasty to me. Here's a repost with reduced contrast.

    Nice 'graphic' image. Doug's repost has cured the few burnt out areas on the plumage.

    Great angle, details and eye contact. I like the repost even better and might raise the color temperature a few degrees.

    I think this one was more about mood then anything else. You captured that very,very well in this image.
