    Default Baby Piglet

We found these baby wild (domestic) hogs near Childress, TX last March. Wild is relative I suppose since they do come to feed however they aren't "tame" by any means and we had to be careful not to cheese mom and dad off by getting too close. I was told that the "zebra stripe" coloring is typical of babies and they outgrow it eventually. It's an adaptation for their protection (built in camo)

Cute subject. I like the low angle and the overall color. The soft BG goes well with him (baby animal). The two blades of grass leading to the face are a little bright.

    Michael,
I agree with the previous posters. If the twig near the face would not have been there, then it would have been superb. I would love to see a head shot as well.

Michael, I'm a lover of pigs and this is one sweet image! I think it would be worth the time and effort to go in and clone out those two branches that are in his face...the rest of them I'd leave alone because it gives him some natural surroundings. I did the clone job very quickly and before my first round of coffee so excuse the sloppiness - its just to show you how removing those two little twigs could make a really noticeable impact.

Nice low angle and I like the monochromatic color scheme and the way the dead grasses frame the piglet. I think I might prefer a touch more DOF though.
