    Default High-Key Woodie

I had some rough light the other day. Perhaps inspired by Gary Rouleau's high-key Hooded Merganser, I thought I'd make the most of my afternoon.

Good symmetry in this shot. The DOF and focus point seem right on. I think it's hard to get head on shots of birds to work, but this one does for me. It might be nice as a vertical crop - just inside the white bars on the wings.

This is a keeper Doug- Wonderful and unusual aspect. The subtle reflection in the water is a wonderful touch.

I also prefer the original, I like the way his sides melt in to the white BG.
