Chris I think you did a fine job with the exposure the birds look great with excellent detail I might take some off the top and add some to the left of the image.
Hi Chris. Critique would be more useful to you if you would please post the tech specs along with your image. Also, I would post a larger version so that we can have a better look at your work. That said, it's a nice shot of a Gadwall pair.
I love the position and posture of the male and wish that the hen were angled a bit more towards us. And I would take a bit off the bottom not the top. Sharp with a good exposure. All in all, well done.
