    Default Male Cormorant W/50-D

    Couldn't pass this guy up, I was looking for the Red Shouldered and had my 500-MM and Ext. 1.4 so all I could get waqs what you see here.
    Canon 50-D ISO=250 at f/6-3 1/500th of a sec. and a 0-EV.

    Amazing colours and BG, Bill. Light angle not the best and some of the light tones on the beak are hot. I think a bit more sharpening accentuates the skin and beak patterns and textures which are a big part of this image.

    Bill I like Tonys repost it did bring out more detail but I would have like to of seen more detail especially when working close to a subject for portraits.
    the subject had all the elements except the fine detail .....

    He surprised me James and I was not totally not prepared but he looked so beautiful in his breeding color I couldn't resist. I knew all the elements were there and Tony did a great job on the repost, but do not know how he did it, maybe someday, and thank you so much James it means a lot.
