    Hi all,
    Took this image earlier this month. Not sure everyone will like the colorful background, but I thought I would leave it alone. Dave

    Canon XSi with a 500 IS + 1.4 ex

    1/2000 sec at f8 ISO 400 -1/3

    This is a very nice image. Good light, pose and head angle. I like the colours in the BG. Image looks a little dark. Have tried a simple lift of the curve and selectively brightened the eye. Lightening the dark areas in the BG may be a further option and removing the small dark twig jutting out just by the tail.

    Gorgeous image I like the colors captured in the bg and the detail in the bird is super....

    Lovely bird. Good colors and details. I find the twig near the tail to be distracting though.
