    Just for fun, an old photo taken in Bandhavgarh NP India on 5th March 2005.

    EOS 10D

    100-400 at 400

    F9, 1/160, ISO400

    Taken when ithought sharpness was achieved by F-stop not shutter speed.

    Ken,
    I enjoyed your story. :-) I seriously dont believe it when I see the nice photos you post in this forum.

    Did you take this in Jpeg? I would reduce the colour temp a bit. It is still there, but increasingly being challenged by other males. Its area is shrinking.

    Sweet image Ken Fully agree on reducing the temp, it can over expose when the histogram looks normal !!! Might also take a little off the right side !!

    The image was taken in RAW, judging by the file size. I am glad to here he is still alive he must be getting quite old now, but it is also good news that there are younger males coming through. I am sure he sored some wonderful cubs.
    I agree that the saturation seems to much, and it probably needs a better crop.
