We lost a lot of leaves off the tree limbs last night. Autumn is finally coming to a close here in the Midwest.

    Canon 40D, EF 70-200mm f/4L USM
    f4 @ 1/250th, ISO 400
Manual Mode, Pattern Metering, Daylight WB
Natural afternoon lighting (partly cloudy), handheld
Processed in ACR & CS4. Small crop. Brought up the midtones quite a bit to give it an airy feeling.

    Nicely done Julie.
I like the simplicity and delicate colors of the composition. The soft pale background compliments your subject. well done...congrats...

The yellow leaf stands out nicely against a subtler BG. A lovely image this one. Might sharpen the leaf just a bit.

Kaushik, I thought about sharpening the leaf further and thought with everything else being so "dreamy" perhaps I should leave it as is. I'll go take another look at it, though. Thanks!

Hey Jules, this one as a nice soft painted look. Great contrast with the leaf and BG
