Got Wood Stork? - S.E Florida

This one from last weekend near The Everglades. Never seen so many Woodstorks. This place was also full of Egrets, Shore birds, 3 Avocest and for the first time a Sacred Ibis . Unfortunately, I only had one morning to check the place out but stared raining soon after I took this image but I'm planning to go back in 3 weeks!! :D

Hi Maxis We just drove back through Alligator Alley and saw a lot of birds, more than I can remember at this time. I hope its a good sign for the upcoming season

Did the sacred ibis have a band? I have seen some in Miami and they are not from the zoo. No clue how they are getting here.

They sure are thick at Cutler Wetlands! Glad you saw a Sacred Ibis...the state is working hard to get rid of them as they have become quite the pest in some other countries.
