    RL hawk, dark phase
    Feb 08
    Canon 500mm F4, 1.4x, IS-2, Ev, F8

    It's very slow for bird subjects close to home in the northeast right now. Still early yet and waiting for hopeful good numbers of wintering northern harriers, SE owls, RL hawks, etc. A few Snowy owls arounds but nothing close. Looking over images from last winter of these wintering birds, this one is a favorite.

    Excellent pose, and detail, light is great and eye contact is just terrific! I might try a bit of NR, but that's about it! COngraTULAITONS!
