    One of my first images with my new 50D. A huge step up from my 20D, so still looking forward to having more fun.
    I was focused on this guy to fly out parrallel from the perch. My comp doesnt quite suit this dive. Although I could have added canvas at the bottom, not too keen on adding more of the perch at the bottom.

    Very nice, Stuart. You done well despite the bird straying from the script:D. I agree more room below would look nice but the perch precludes it. BG is great with those OOF colour bands. The image looks a bit soft, some of this is motion blur. Pushing your ISO to 800 on the 50D should be OK and it will buy you a stop of extra speed or DOF. Look forward to more with the new camera.

    Nice action captured, a little more sharpening around the face may help.
