    these are the guys and girls that make it happen!! this was a tough shot!! there were many obstacles between me and them and i had to frame it as carefully as i could to get clean edges after the crop.. i didnt want to crop the left or right. only off the top and bottom. just barely succeeded!!!

    D300, Bigma at 230mm, f/6.3, 1/640s, 0EV, ISO 640

    Doctor Davis,
    You out did yourself...a really cool image...well composed, and executed...I like the support ground crew ready on stand by...details are sharp, color rendition is dead on, and the emission of heat captured from the jet engines puts this one over the top...my hat off to you Doctor...:):cool:

    Hi Harold
    I think this one is a magnificent composition. I looked at it for a long time. I am sure that composition experts could see much more than I do but the repetition of the position of the people, the line leading to the plane, and even the green machinery all seem to bring my eye back to the high contrast planes and those colors are echoed on the people. Lots of balance everywhere. Really well done.

    thanks everyone. i really appreciate the comments!! i have a special appreciation for these guys (military) and was probably more careful in trying to get something special than i normally do.
