A wild tiger stalking its prey in Bandhavgarh National Park, India. The hind leg falls exactly at the same spot where its foreleg is, to minimise noise due to rustling of leaves. It can place the hind legs at exactly the same spot. I often marvel at the accuracy of this and forget to click.
Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM plus EF 2xII i.e. 800mm at ISO 800, f5.6, 1/250 sec. Full frame.
I don't like shooting in ISO 800, but the tiger was moving fast, and the light levels were low. So I had to immediately bump up the ISO. Look forward to your comments.
Must have gotten your adrenalin going !!! Great behavior captured had no idea about it !!! Noise wise is just fine and going to 800 was the way to go An exceptional capture !!! Big Time Congrats !!!
Hi Sabyasachi,
Nice image. NIce pose, colors, and environmental inclusion. As for the increased ISO, assuming proper exposure, any noise you may get from using the higher ISO would've been easily hidden by the detail in the BGs and the fur of most of the images I recall you posting.
