    Default Sitting owl

It has been 3 years since I got this close to a snowy owl. Usually I see a small dot through someone's digiscope. However, last Friday afternoon, I planned on shooting fall shorebirds and saw the snowy just sitting on the beach. He was a willing subject but liked to sit in spots where I had trouble getting the sun behind me.
I had many shots when he was looking at me but here is a profile I liked.

Nice work Allan. It is a treat to get this close on the refuge. I may have to swing up there this weekend. I might be inclined to take a bit off of the top.

    Thanks Manos and Taylor.
Hopefully you have good weather if you come up on the weekend. I heard there are 2 or possibly 3 snowy owls on PI at the moment.

Hi Allan, nice to see you had good luck. I share your concern about getting the light behind you. When I have gotten such light he's usually produced only slits for eyes :-). I have my doubts, however, that, at this time< there is more than 1 snowy at PI. See you there. Plumviewer
