Denise, this is a VERY nice first photo merge and I like the overall idea, especially the reflection of the horse in the water. I wonder if by moving the horse layer to the left just a tad, you could avoid the distraction caused by the intersection of the tree trunk with the right eye. The fence on the right helps add depth - nice touch! Hope you'll post some more photo merges!
Keith , I placed him there because of the tree trunk. I thought it looked cool w/ his head busting thru those 2 tree trunks.I felt it made him look as though he were in captivity and breaking free

I like your photo illustration. I would have preferred the horse without the water. The water seems to be out of place and doesn't go with the colour scheme. The horse seems like a ghost coming out of the woods (reminds me of the movie Terminator 2).
