After cutting my grass the other day I spotted this Darner hunting in my yard so away went the mower and out came my camera.

    Don,
Common DF (male, BTW), very uncommon photo! Great flight shot, well composed, just-right DOF, clean BG. Definitely publication material IMO; I'm looking at the DF calendar on my wall, and there's not a single flight photo. I'm very impressed. These guys are really hard to shoot - fast-moving and seldom perch.

Fabulous image! I've seen a couple of inflight images here at BPN and this is definitely one of the best. Very nice in all respects!

I have tried to get these in flight and it isn't an easy task. You really nailed it here. Great comp, BG and sharpness. It seems to have more DOF than 5.6!

Dragonflies are vert difficult to capture in flight, and you have succeeded very well here. Superb sharpness, and love the clear BG. Well done Don.
