...in which BeeP discovers that the English climate can be quite inhospitable....
Last week BeeP was invited to stay with Nicki's sister in Weymouth, a traditional seaside town on the south coast of England.. He readily accepted the invitation as he had heard that this area of the UK is a World Heritage Site and is known as the Jurassic Coast. Would there be dinosaurs, he wondered...might he come face to face with T-Rex as he wandered the lonely windswept country lanes...
Well, as you can see he lived to tell the tale, and, despite the icy wind that was howling through the town, he begged to be taken to the beach to build sandcastles. His wish was my command - as usual - so off we went. Although BeeP enjoyed building sandcastles, he said that he had no idea that it could be so cold. In fact he learned a new saying which contained the words freeze, brass and monkey...
Those among you who follow English Premier League soccer will notice that he is sporting a West Ham United scarf as Nicki's brother-in-law is their greatest supporter. Nicki says that he should get a life...
Best regards,
Nicki and BeeP
BTW He never did tell me whether he saw any dinosaurs....
I really hope all of these entries chronicling BeeP's adventures are being compiled in a collection somewhere.... They are so creative and fun! I love his foul weather gear and pail....
Thanks Amy - I'm so glad that you are enjoying BeeP's tales! Perhaps we should publish a book documenting his travels - you never know - National Geographic might get wind of it...:D:D
Regards,
Nicki
