    Default Yellow rumped with juniper berries

    Wildcat Ridge hawk watch, NJ. Found a group of yellow rumps and robins feeding on junipers.
    20D with 400/F5.6L - F5.6 1/800

    Background busy and probably could use more light on the bird but i liked the mix of colors and the angle. What do you think?

    Hi Barry. The BG colours are nice, I also like the foliage and berries. The branch slicing diagonally through the image is a bit off putting and the bird's posture makes me feel like I should be standing on my head to view it :)- others will probably disagree

    Hi Tony, Thanks for the feedback. Agree about the diagonal branch. If you rotate 90 degrees, it looks like a more conventional shot and perhaps that's the tendency to view.
