    Default Swan, Icy...

    Hi Folks!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately - too busy entertaining BeeP...
Earlier this week I visited the Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset (in the South of England) and I took a series of pictures. The weather was so cold - I can't tell you how cold - and I have tried to convey this by desaturating the image just a little to emphasize the cold grey light. I do realize that the HAP will have a field day with this - Amy, you may have to get a refund on that new lens of yours - but, well, I like it anyway....

    I like the composition Nicki,
It sure looks very cold, I like the action here, the water droplets splashing all over the place. The swan has a sharp eye, well done, yes the head angle is a little off...the rest is lovely...good show...

HI Nicki The angle doesn't bother me all that much since he is looking this way or trying to. The action takes precedence as if the bird were just ready to turn. Would like a more room up top and sure like the desaturating idea, does convey the feel !!!
