One of my favorite Warbler species from a few Springs ago. Taken as the bird came down to a drip pond.

Love everything about this one Alan. The perch and BG work really well with the bird. Exposure is perfect as are pose and sharpness.

This image has alot going for it...Almost looks like a highly detailed painting. I wonder if the leaves on top are really adding to the image?

Lovely shot as usual, Alan. I think the upper leaves are a good frame but wish those on the lower left were not quite so close to the bird. I think the little water drops on the leaves add to the image.

Superb. Fabulous. I like the top leaves but some don't.
How was its habitat after Ike? We were looking at the aerial photos of High Island and crying.

Hey Fred, Golden-cheek Warblers only pass through Texas on their way up North, but the habitait on the Upper Texas Coast is in bad shape. Most trees got a lot of salt damage, so it will take some time before we see if they come back. It will be an interesting Spring in 09.
