Default Northern Saw-whet Owl ( Captive)

Mountsberg Conservation Area, Milton, Ontario, Canada
    D300 / 200-400 VR
    1/125s f/4.0 at 330.0mm iso250

    Tripod, natural light, slight crop

Another from a recent workshop., I must say, this has been fun!

I am thinking I should have cloned out the small piece of leaf to the right of the birds eyes, but I guess I just never noticed it in processing... too much of a rush likely!

    take good care.

I like the image very much and got to love those eyes !!!! Very sharp for your selected ss or for any for that mater Would bump up the ISO since you camera produces such good results !!!

Wish there was a way to minimize the perch, maybe tighter, but do like it as presented !!!

Perhaps it's just me. I do like it but think it could use some help from more brightness and or contrast, to give it just a rad more pop. It seems a bit dark as is. I do like the eyes here. It is hard to ignore the beautiful eyes on an owl like this.

You gotta love those big eyes. Nice alert pose and wonderful use of the vertical line. The only thing I might have changed might have been to use a more natural looking branch.....but that's being pretty picky. Well done....again.
