Going to be a tough year for the wildlife again - summer has started and NO RAIN - river is drying up at a alarming rate - another year of drought :(

Started a new job - so have not had much time to get out and shoot - heres one from on my way home last night.

Awahhhh Really sweet and I like the crop.

Something about it bugs me just a bit but I can't figure out what?

Lance, the little guy is as cute as he can be but I want to see more of the mother bird. She's so far out of the frame that it makes me think she's an afterthought instead of part of the main focus. I'd suggest next time either include more of the mother or leave her out. (Always better to take more of her and crop it away later!)

Another thing to think about is the mother's eye...it's really blurry. If the main subject of the image is the relationship between the two birds then the mother's loving eye on the baby needs to be sharp and in focus, also.

Fully agree with Jules Would like seeing more of the mother !!! Regarding the mothers eye you will need to capture both in the same plane At this distance won't be able to have enough dof. As presented would back down the saturation on the reds.

    Hi Lance,
I like the concept here but on this one; have to agree with Julie and Mr. Forns in eference to the mother's position in frame...
